Important Info About Email Addresses and How to Contact Our Members 
 
We realize that many of our Members are new to the Internet.   Many of you have trouble emailing other Members because of basic internet related issues and can get confused and frustrated because your emails are not being answered.  We have been contacted several times about email related issues, so in order to make sure that our Members can contact each other we have provided this informational page about common email problems and solutions.

CouplesBiFm and your Email 
 
At Couplesbifm we require all Members enter their email at sign up.  Members then have the option to edit their profiles and make the email address unavailable in their profile.  In this instance only CouplesBiFm will have access to a Member's email address. We only use a Member's email address to send information pertinent to your CouplesBiFm.com Membership.  We won't give out your e-mail to anyone!  
 
Here is some helpful info about Member e-mails and Profiles.  Here at CouplesBiFm, we give you the flexibility of adding your e-mail into your profile.  Many other dating sites do not. Many of them tell you this for reasons of privacy, but in reality, they don't want you to be able to contact their other members outside of their own web site.  They want you as a member for as long as possible!  We feel that if you like our web site, you will stay as a Member even if you can contact other Members outside of our web site.  We will not force you to keep coming back after you have met someone you like! 
 
Sometimes, as a Member, you may find that your email address has been removed from your profile by our Administrator.  There are  two reasons for this.  

  1. Your email address is invalid.  Meaning we have tested it and have received a notice that this email does not exist.  

  2. Your email was incorrect.  Meaning that you must have mistyped it in and we still get a notice that your email does not exist.   

   We don't always delete emails when they bounce.  Here are a couple of reasons we don't: 

  1. Your mailbox is full and we get a message saying you have exceed your limit. 

  2. If email bounces when when an attachment is sent.  Some emails will bounce because they don't accept attachments. 

  3. Sometimes an AOL member has blocked a certain email domain from sending emails.  This is an act of privacy and we will not delete emails for this reason.  It just means that they don't want emails from the sender.  See the note below in the AOL Email section.

Email Problems 
Are the emails you are trying to send to a Member bouncing back to you?  Here are some common reasons why that happens: 
 
Some emails can't be delivered because the receiving server is unavailable, overloaded, or could not be found. .Sometimes these problems correct themselves and the emails are successfully sent in subsequent mailings. 
 
A full mailbox means that the email message was not accepted specifically because the recipient's mailbox was full. If over a period of time the same email address comes up as "mailbox full" it could indicate that the email account has been abandoned. Use your judgment, but in general we recommend that you do not remove these bounced email addresses from your email list.
 
Many free email services cancel addresses that have not been used in as short of a time as three months and some give only very limited space for email storage.  So even if you got bounced back the Member can at any time check this email address and remove some of the emails in their account that will free up space to receive more email addresses.  
 
Always remember that even if there is not an email address in one of our Member's profiles or if the email provided bounces, then you can always send a message from your CouplesBiFm Mail Box, located in your control panel. 
 

We just finished the process of verify everyone's email address so that our Members are not sending messages to invalid emails and because we have over 50,000 Members, we wanted to thank all of the Members who helped us by forwarding bounced email addresses to us.  It was a great help to us! 
 

If you notice any email addresses in our profiles that have bounced back to you, please forward it to us!  Just read the email that is sent to you when it bounces and see why it came back and if it says it is an INVALID EMAIL then you are welcome to forward that to us.  With help from Members like you, we can make CoupleBiFm.com the best online Swinger's Resource on the net!

AOL Emails  
AOL email address have certain things that can go wrong.  If you are trying to email someone from an AOL account, then you must include the ENTIRE email address (whomever@wherever.com) or they will not receive it. Only other AOL email clients can send and receive emails by using the AOL member name only.
 
If your email bounces to another AOL member then they may have  intentionally or even  accidentally  blocked emails coming from your domain.  If you have accidentally blocked a domain and would like to reopen it to receive emails from them then follow these instructions as found on the AOL web site:
  1. Sign onto AOL with your master screen name. Go to keyword MAIL CONTROLS.
  2. In Mail Controls, go to People and Places
  3. Choose one of the following available preferences by clicking once on the setting:
    Allow email from all AOL members, email addresses, and domains.
    Allow email from all AOL members, and from the listed domains and email addresses. Block email from all others.
    Allow email from the listed AOL members, email addresses, and domains. Block email from all others.
  4. We have also found that there are some AOL members who have an  AOL email account , but do not have access to the AOL master screen name.  Either they were given the screen name by a relative or a friend to use and/or they do not even know that they can not receive e-mails, because the master screen name has blocked.

CouplesBiFm Mail Box
In order to send a message to another Member of CouplesBiFm.com from your mailbox, you simply click the mail button on the top of their profile. Another way is to go to your Control Panel and open your Mailbox. From there you can also type their Member ID into the ‘to’ field. Do not use an email address here. This is an internal system that uses Member ID’s only! We did it this way to help protect the privacy of our Members who do not wish to give out their email address on the Internet. Email addresses do NOT work in the CouplesBiFm.com Mailbox only CouplesBiFm.com Member ID’s.
